bookmark tutorial

It was requested that I post a step-by-step how-to for the bookmarks I recently made. I like to make people happy, so here it is:

Supplies: Scissors, a pencil (with/and an eraser), exact-o knife, clear packing tape and double sided pretty, patterned paper.

1.
Measure your tape.

2.
Measure your paper. You want the width of your bookmark to be less than the width of your tape.

3.
Mark the length of your bookmark. (7.5-8 inches is a good length.)

4.
Using your ruler as a guide, cut the length of your bookmark. (Or, if you have one, just use a paper cutter.)

5.
Erase your pencil marks. Lay out your tape, sticky side up, on your work surface.

6.
Lay one side of your bookmark in the center of the tape. Cut your tape.

7.
Pull out more tape, lay the backside of your bookmark down, so it is taped on both sides.

8.
Trim the excess tape from the ends and sides.

9.
Your double-sided bookmark is complete!

If you want to add a ribbon, use a hole punch to make two holes side by side, then tie your ribbon on.

xoxo
