I haven't been reading much lately. Maybe I read the parent magazines I receive in the mail, but I haven't sat down with a book in quite a while.
Walking through Costco a few weeks ago I decided to pass the books section, just to see their selection. I wasn't planning to buy a book, but this one caught my eye (see blurb below). I brought it home, and it sat on the counter until I picked it up just a couple of days ago.
I sat down while the kids napped and cracked it open. And now I'm hooked. I find myself reading and saying "I'll stop at the next chapter.." Only to find myself still reading three chapters later without having even noticed. All I want to do is sit and read, but I still have a job to do--the kids aren't going to watch themselves...
Now that I've been reading, and learning how to make time for myself to cozy up with a book, all I want to do is read. I think it's about time I get a current library card, so I can keep it up without breaking the bank.
I'm thinking of starting a book club.
